Fatality inquiry listing for March 2007
Edmonton...Public inquiries held under the Fatality Inquiries Act are limited to establishing the cause, manner, time, place and circumstances of death, as well as the identity of the deceased. The judge may make recommendations on the prevention of similar occurrences but is prohibited, under the act, from making findings of legal responsibility.

On March 19, 2004, Ronald Perry was arrested for strange and violent behaviour. In an effort to restrain him he was electronically stunned multiple times by police. After being transported to the hospital he suffered cardiac arrest and died on March 23, 2004. |

On September 28, 2005, L.S. was being transported to his group home when he attempted to jump from the moving vehicle but was prevented. When the vehicle was stopped he ran onto the highway and was hit by a truck. |
